Scope and Program

SCOPE

The conference will be devoted to atomic collisions with atoms, molecules, clusters, surfaces, and solids. It will include invited talks and poster sessions. The meeting will cover the following topics:

-         fundamental processes in ion-atom collisions;

-         fragmentation of molecules and clusters by ion impact;

-         ion-surface and ion-solid interactions;  

-       related photon phenomena and techniques

-         applications.

ABSTRACT SUBMITION

      All participants are encouraged to submit an abstract. Deadline for the abstract submission is May 30, 2005. Accepted Abstracts will be printed in the Book of Contributing Papers, therefore avoid sending the same abstract, which you already submitted to ICPEAC 2005. The abstract should be written in English. Use 12 pt Times New Roman and type the in single column format. The lenght is limited to 200 words. The abstract should be submitted in PDF format via e-mail to isiac@vdg.fis.puc-rio.br.

PROCEEDINGS

The Brazilian Physical Society (SBF) agreed to publish a special issue of the Brazilian Journal of Physics (BJP) for the Proceedings of the XIX ISIAC. The BJP is an indexed periodical in the ISI. Both the oral and poster contributions will be considered for publication. The article length is limited to four pages. All contributions will be refereed, and should be presented following the directions provided in the BJP website (www.sbfisica.org.br/bjp). The printed manuscripts are to be handed at the first day of the Seminar (July 28^th) in triplicate.
